Dwayne Johnson is in talks to star in the Big Trouble In Little China remake.
The San Andreas star, also known as The Rock, would play Jack Burton, a trucker who finds himself involved in a centuries-old mystical battle in San Francisco’s Chinatown, reported The Wrap.
Dwayne would also produce the remake of John Carpenter’s 1986 action movie, which starred Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall.
The 20th Century Fox film would be written by X-Men: First Class’ Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz.
Dwayne is coming off an earth-shattering £4.63 million UK and Ireland opening weekend for Brad Peyton’s disaster drama, which has also topped the US box office with takings of around 54 million US dollars (£35,449,223).
Next up for the 43-year-old is his HBO series Ballers.
He has also started filming action comedy, Central Intelligence, which co-stars Kevin Hart and Ed Helms.
