One Direction are aiming to conquer the small screen after getting their own TV show.

The Brit-winning boyband - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - were rumoured to be in talks about starring in their own programme, which have now been confirmed by children's channel Nickelodeon.

"The rumours are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for @onedirection. Welcome to the family!" the network tweeted.

The group, who have been busy trying to crack the States with their debut album Up All Night after touring with American boyband Big Time Rush, made their TV debut last month when they landed a guest role on Nickelodeon's hit show iCarly.

They are also performing at the network's Kids' Choice Awards on April 1.

Harry, who previously dated The Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack, sent a flirty message to newly single Kim Kardashian, asking her to call him, while bandmate Niall invited Kim's sister Khloe and her husband Lamar Odom to attend their Dallas gig.

Zayn previously admitted that their success has been quite overwhelming, telling The Sun: "Until we got to America, we didn't realise how crazy it was."
