Actors from ITV’s popular series The Durrells will sprinkle a bit of star power over a fun-packed day at Kew Midsummer Fete on Saturday, June 18.

Daisy Waterstone and Callum Woodhouse, who play Margo and Leslie Durrell in the Corfu-set television series based on the book My Family and Other Animals, will select winners from several categories in the dog show.

Thousands of people are expected to head to the fete, from 11am to 6pm on Kew Green, which is free to enter.

Attractions include more than 120 stalls, a traditional Victorian fairground, a live music stage, food court, tug of war, charity raffle and a dog show.

Since 2010, the fete has raised £77,000 for charities.

Chairman of the fete committee Michael Glazebrook said: “Our regular stallholders are eager to book early and our loyal sponsors have helped us truly establish the fete, increasing the charitable funds raised year on year while we enjoy the support of a really strong team of dedicated volunteers.”
