Artists across Merton will throw open their homes and studios to give people a glimpse of what they have been creating.

Paintings, prints, ceramics, glass and more will be showcased over two weekends as part of Merton Arts Festival on September 17 to 18 and 24 to 25.

Led by sculptor Ben Nicolas, the festival takes up from the successful Merton Arts Trail which ran for five years.

More than 60 artists have signed up to take part at more than 30 venues, with group exhibitions around the Lost and Found theme taking place at Merton Arts Space (11am to 5pm, September 17 to 24), St Mark’s Church (7pm to 8pm on September 16 and 11am to 5pm on September 17), The Sultan (September 17 to 25) and the Craft Gallery at Merton Abbey Mills (September 15 to 25, 10.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 5pm weekends).

Fold-out maps with the artists locations will allow people to make their own art trails around the borough and are available from libraries, art shops, framers and cafes around Merton.
