Her latest milestone comes just weeks after it was announced that Zoe and her boyfriend Alfie Deyes will get their own wax tributes at London’s Madame Tussauds.

Zoe’s fascinating video topics range from fashion hauls (basically she just shows you a load of stuff she bought at the shops) to Q&A videos, where she answers super-important questions like “do you prefer sunrises or sunsets?”.

Just to put that into perspective, Zoella now has more subscribers than:

- The population of Scotland (5.3 million) or Wales (3.06 million).

- The number of people who tuned in to the seven-way leader’s debate on ITV (7.4 million).

- The number of people who voted Liberal Democrats in the 2010 election (6.8 million).

- The average number of people who tuned in for last year’s series of Big Brother (1.6 million).

- The number of Brits who watched the Queen’s Christmas Day speech last year (7.8 million).

- The number of households in the UK with a pet cat (7.9 million).

- The number of people in the UK who read The Sun (6.2 million).

Her fans were quick to lay on the congratulations, getting the hashtag #CongratsOn8MillionZoe trending on Twitter.
