The cast of this years’ Epsom Playhouse pantomime The Wizard of Oz visited the theatre yesterday (Monday 22 September) to meet each other, run through the script and try on their costumes.

The professional cast will be headed up by legendary children’s entertainer DAVE BENSON PHILLIPS who will play the Scarecrow. Dave is no stranger to Epsom as he brought his children’s show to the theatre a few years ago.

Theatre Manager Elaine Teague said: “It was lovely to meet the cast of our panto this year, some of whom are new to Epsom and some who have appeared on our stage in the past. We are really looking forward to another fabulous family pantomime offering something exceptional for adults and children alike.”

Dorothy will be played by Samantha Giffard, The Tin Man by Phil Amato, The Lion by Jamie Bannerman, Good Witch by Hannah Woolley, Bad Witch by Emily Barnett-Salter and The Wizard by Iain Wotherspoon.

The Wizard of Oz opens on Saturday 13 December and runs until Sunday 4 January. Tickets starting from £12.00 are on sale now and can be booked at: www.epsomplayhouse.co.uk or by ringing the Box Office on 01372 742555/742227.
