Relive the music and fashions of the 80s with the Mitre Players’ production of the musical comedy the Wedding Singer.

Based on the hit film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, the bittersweet romance proves that the course of true love never did run smoothly.

As a wedding singer, Robbie Hart (Dominic Binefa) is used to attending ceremonies and is looking forward to his own happy ever after when he marries his fiancée, Linda.

When he is ditched at the altar, his waitress friend Julia (Katy Davies) is there as a shoulder to cry on. But Robbie soon realises Julia means much more to him.

There’s only one problem – she is engaged to someone else.

With an original score and a live band, the musical’s feelgood factor will entertain anyone who enjoys a good wedding.
