Budding teenage dancers will come together in a huge synchronised event celebrating youth performance.

Pupils from Coloma Convent School, Harris Academy, Purley and the Priory School are part of Step LIVE! 2012 including performers from all 32 London boroughs.

Organised as part of Southbank Centre’s Festival of the World and Big Dance 2012, the event will see 780 school children from 46 schools take to the stage.

Sue Goodman, Step into Dance Artistic Director, says: "Congratulations to the dancers from Coloma Convent School, Harris Academy Purley and Priory School. Their work was a delight - they deserve the opportunity to perform in Step LIVE!2012, at the prestigious Southbank Centre, London."

The three schools won their right to take part following a qualifying event in Croydon defeating competition from six other rivals.

Other activities on the day will include workshops, Hip Hop battles, flash mobs, conga lines and two formal performances in Clore Ballroom.

Step LIVE! 2012, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, July 7, 11am to 5pm.
