Warwick Castle

Situated in the town of Warwick and overlooking the River Avon, Warwick Castle is a popular tourist spot that attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world.

There is a working scale model of a trebuchet that can be fired under professional supervision, by members of the public. Other attractions include a bird show, an archery display and various exhibitions detailing life in medieval Britain.

It is well worth exploring the Castle premises and I would recommend wearing a sensible pair of shoes. You can walk along the curtain walls and climb the towers to enjoy the outstanding views of Warwick and the River Avon. There is also a Peacock Garden and an island on the River Avon.

Visits to Warwick Castle will not come cheap. Tickets for adults cost £18.95 each, whilst a family ticket will cost you £56.00. However, you will find that the ticket prices are cheaper if you book online. Parking at Warwick Castle will cost £3 for the day.

All in all, Warwick Castle provides fun and entertainment for all ages, and is well worth a visit if you can afford it.
