A TEENAGER who turned up at his Bexley secondary school to finish his A-level courses and found they had been axed has now got a place at college.
Kyle Gurney, 18, of Sidcup Hill, was one of several pupils turned away from Cleeve Park School, Bexley Lane, at the beginning of the new school year.
His efforts to find a new place to study have paid off.
Despite being out of time for registration, Orpington College offered him a place to complete his PE and media A levels and take AS level graphics and another sports qualification.
Kyle's parents have made a formal complaint to the school governors about their son's treatment and against the headteacher of the school, Lynton Karmock-Golds.
His mother Cheryl claimed Kyle had still not received an apology and a meeting with Mrs Karmock-Golds achieved nothing.
