Hughes hoping for more chances

Jeff Hughes is still hopeful he can have a career at Crystal Palace.

The Northern Ireland defender has been out of favour since Warnock came in in October but has featured on the bench in the last three games and came on for a couple of minutes against West Brom.

Now he hopes that run in the squad will continue.

He said: "It's always nice to be recognised so I hope things just keep progressing. I always hope to play but it hasn't worked out, I've had a few injuries and that and a new manager. To be honest it hasn't been a great season for me."

However, Hughes admitted that he has no idea whether he will still be at the club next season.

He said: "At the end of the day it's down to the gaffer and the board and it depends on what he wants really. He builds his team around what he wants and I hope I can be part of it."
