Two people have been charged with human trafficking offences following UK Border Agency arrests in Croydon on Tuesday.
Mate Puskas, 24, of Surrey Street, Croydon, and Victoria Brown, 24, of the same address have been charged with trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation into the UK and within the UK, and controlling prostitution for gain.
The pair will appear before Crawley Magistrates on Thursday 25 October.
A 35-year-old Hungarian national also arrested in Tuesday’s Croydon operation remains in custody with officers granted more time to question him.
The arrests were the latest phase of an investigation into the alleged trafficking of women for the purposes of prostitution.
