Firefighters freed the woman who was trapped in her vehicle before she was taken to Croydon University Hospital
A woman has been taken to hospital after a collision in Addiscombe.
London Ambulance were called to Cherry Orchard Road at the junction with Lower Addiscombe road at 7.15am to a road traffic collision involving two cars.
Three fire engines and a fire rescue unit were also called to scene and freed the woman who was trapped in her vehicle.
A spokeswoman for London Ambulance confirmed staff treated a 35-year-old woman for back and neck pain at the scene, before taking her to Croydon University Hospital.
Lower Addiscombe Road is closed both ways between Davidson Road and Morland Road.
Traffic in the area is slow and the 197, 289, 312, 367 and 410 bus routes have been diverted.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
