Hard-line right wing party The National Front have announced they will be putting forward a candidate in the forth-coming Croydon North by-election.
The party, which lists challenging "the desirability of a multi-racial/multi-cultural society imposed without consent” as a key objective, have picked Richard Edmonds to contest the seat, previously held by Labour party member Malcolm Wicks.
Mr Wicks died from cancer in September.
Mr Edmonds, is an electronics engineer who grew up in West London.
He describes himself as "a tireless human rights campaigner championing the causes of freedom of speech, freedom of association and the rights of intellectuals and academics to investigate, and critique the authorised, orthodox version of history."
The election will be held on November 29.
