The man accused of murdering schoolgirl Tia Sharp is set to stand trial in May next year.
Stuart Hazell, from New Addington, was not present for the hearing at the Old Bailey on Monday, when a trial date of May 7 was fixed.
The 37-year-old is expected to enter a plea on March 8.
Hazell is charged with murdering Tia in August this year.
The 12-year-old's body was found on Friday, August 10, at her grandmother Christine Sharp's home in The Lindens, New Addington, a week after she was reported missing.
