Gritting trucks are out on Sutton's roads as the borough gets its first snowfall this Winter.

A sudden snowfall has caused chaos on the rails and the roads - although some people are already out and having fun in the white stuff.

Snow has fallen and settled in Sutton this morning and trains have been disrupted. Many routes to and from the borough's stations are subject to delays and cancellations.

There is also disruption on the roads with an accident in Rosehill Park West where cars are thought to have slipped into each other and crashed causing disruption. Side roads are reported to be slippery and main routes are slow moving.

Sutton Council's gritting trucks are out trying to clear up the borough's streets.

All the borough's schools are open but some children have already been enjoying the snow on their way in - Councillor Mary Burstow took pictures of Charlotte Fry and Jodie Fraser making snow angels.
