Croydon has woken up to the first snowfall of the winter this morning.
A layer of snow has blanketed the borough and continues to fall, but Croydon's schools remain open.
Traffic is slow and motorists are advised to take care when travelling.
Last night, Croydon Council sent gritters out and the team treated 268kms of main roads with 16.8 tonnes of salt and they are out again this morning gritting primary routes.
Some Southern and South West train services are delayed by up to 30 minutes and trains are not calling at certain stations along several routes.
Severe weather warnings have been issued across south west London and Surrey.
