A group of elderly people tried their hand at a chair-based zumba class this week – the first of its kind in the area.
Grace Salmon, director of the Positive Network Centre in Mitcham, said: “It is for people that have mobility, heart or stroke problems for them to have a bit of fun while exercising. It is especially for elderly people and people who cannot move around a lot.”
The classes will run every Monday from 1pm to 2pm at the Positive Network Centre in Taylor Road, Mitcham, costing £1 a session.
