Surrey Twisters cheerleaders entered Future Cheer’s Winter Wonderland competition at Crystal Palace this weekend gaining two 1st, one 2nd and two 3rd place trophies.
The results endorsed the success of the growing Wallington based squad who entered five categories including a Mini level team.
The Twisters, whose more senior teams are current BCA National and Southern Champions at Senior Level 1 and 3, had not entered a Future Cheer competition before and were naturally very pleased that their hard work paid off.
Head Coach Georgie Markwell was delighted for the girls and said: “Cheerleading is becoming really well established in the UK. It is a great sport for building confidence and team working as well as developing cheer and gymnastic skills – and of course having fun!
"Our programme is growing fast and we’re holding more open days in January.”
