They may not have found a new home yet, but Chloe and Dale the greyhounds have certainly found love at Battersea.

The two abandoned dogs have become inseparable and now the charity is hoping to find them a home together where they can live happily ever after.

The canine couple arrived at Battersea separately under different circumstances.

Six-year-old Dale arrived at the charity after his racing career came to an end and was no longer wanted, while Chloe found herself at the home after her owners could no longer care for her.

The two met when Dale became very stressed in the kennel environment.

It soon became clear that the duo thrived on each other’s company so staff at the centre decided to kennel them together.

Vicky Snook Senior Rehomer at the charity, said: "They adore being together and love nothing more than cuddling up together and going out on walks together."

Battersea often takes in pairs of dogs but rarely do they put two dogs together in a kennel.

Ms Snook added: "We soon realised that splitting them up could cause them a considerable amount of distress so we took the decision to rehome them together.

"They are such a sweet pair and will make wonderful companions - we just hope someone will come forward who can take them both on."
