Sutton Council has been praised for its service and high customer satisfaction levels after receiving a national award.

The council has won Gov Metric’s Excellence in a Service Category Award 2012 after demonstrating high satisfaction rates for its streets and parking customer services.

The award is based on feedback from residents who have contacted the council and is collected and analysed by GovMetric – a company used by 75 local authorities across the country.

Councillor Colin Hall, deputy leader of Sutton Council said: “This award shows the tremendous level of work that is put in by our staff and I’d like to congratulate everyone who has contributed to this award.

“I’m pleased that so many of our residents feel they receive good customer service when they contact the council and I hope we can continue that trend in the future.”
