A leak from a burst water main which has flooded a main road for more than two weeks has finally been fixed.
Frustrated residents contacted the Epsom Guardian about flooding in Alexandra Road, Epsom, saying the water main burst two-and-a-half weeks ago, and little action has been taken to rectify the problem since.
But a spokesman for Thames Water said today that the leak had now been fixed.
He said: "We have been working to fix this leak as quickly as possible and have been repairing a valve to minimise any interruptions to the nearby surgery.
"We're very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
"The leak has now been fixed and we will be returning on Wednesday to complete repairs to the road surface."
