A vehicle pretending to be a police car attempted to pull over drivers on the M25 yesterday evening (December 18).
Police were called at 8.40pm after reports of a silver Ford Mondeo, equipped with blue flashing lights, on the M25 clockwise at Leatherhead, indicating for other drivers to pull over.
Police officers from the roads policing unit attended the scene and a vehicle matching the description given was stopped near junction 11 of the M25 ten minutes later.
The three occupants of the vehicle have been arrested and are currently in custody.
Police have spoken to a number of people at the scene but are keen to speak to anyone else who was either pulled over or had any contact with this vehicle or its occupants.
