Three men have been arrested after a mass brawl involving multiple stabbings broke out at a wake.
The men were today being held on suspicion of affray after the fight at the Midday Sun pub in Chipstead, Coulsdon last night.
All three received hospital treatment for stab wounds after the brawl, which a witness told the Croydon Guardian had involved around 20 people.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the pub just before 7pm after reports of an altercation involving several men and possible stabbings.
The men had left the scene by the time officers and paramedics arrived, but police later located three men matching the description of the suspects.
All three remained in custody today.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance said that three paramedics had attended the scene but were told that the injured men had left and that one had reported to hospital.
The pub was still cordoned off with police tape this morning and police were present at the scene.
