Christmas day proved to be extra special for a handful of families.
Five festive babies were born at Croydon University Hospital on December 25, with the first being a baby boy born at 12.30am.
Michelle Dyer, Fadekeno Ayegbusi and Gillian MacDonald all had children at the hospital. There were four boys and one girl in total.
Miss Dyer, 31, gave birth to Nico-Nathanial McKay at 2.16am on Christmas Day.
Her son weighed 7lb 6oz and arrived right on cue with the due date set as December 25.
Miss Dyer said it was a special moment for her and partner Nathanial, especially with their son being born over Christmas.
She said: "It was a lot quicker than I expected. The labour only lasted three hours and I have known some to go on for 72 hours.
"I was back home by 7pm on Christmas day which was nice. My family were all with me at the hospital and they even brought me Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
"I missed some Christmas telly but it was 100 per cent worth it. I can already tell he is going to be a little troublemaker. At the moment he is very tranquil and peaceful."
