A mum-of-two whose body was found in a car in Thornton Heath, died of asphyxia a post-mortem has revealed.

Janelle Duncan-Bailey of Pawsons Road, was reported missing on January 2, after failing to collect her sons, aged two and seven from a friend's house in Bromley.

The 25-year-old care support worker was discovered in a car in Mayfield Crescent on Saturday.

A post-mortem conducted yesterday and Croydon mortuary, gave the cause of death as asphyxia and compression of the neck.

Jerome McDonald of Fairlands Avenue, has been charged with her murder.

The 30-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow for a bail hearing.
