Croydon petrol thief Leigh Elliott jailed

A serial fuel thief who plagued petrol forecourts across south London has been jailed.
Leigh Elliott, age 41, of Meadow Way, New Addington, repeatedly filled his car up with petrol at stations in Bromley and then drove away without paying during November and December last year.
He pleaded guilty to 14 offences of theft of petrol and was sentenced to 308 days behind bars at Bromley Magistrates Court on December 20.
He was arrested while driving an unisured vehicle on December 18 after being identified from CCTV images.
