A schoolboy from South Croydon beat 25,000 Arsenal fans to be the Gunners' mascot for their game last Sunday.

Arsenal junior supporter's club member Joseph Baker, 11, was chosen at random to walk the team out onto the pitch at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday ahead of their 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

He got to meet his heroes ahead of the game, including England midfield Jack Wilshere.

Wilshere said: "It was great to meet Joseph before our game on Sunday.

"I know how much I’d have loved to do something like that when I was a kid and I hope he had a memorable day.”
