A website created by a Croydon landlord has been commended at major industry award ceremoy just 18 months after launching. 

Tenant History, a service which allows landlords and letting agencies to rate their tenants, was runner-up in the website category and a shortlisted finalist in Innovation at the Landlords and Letting Awards. 

The website was launched by Addiscombe landlord Steven Hanbury, who runs S&S Hanbury Properties with his father Les.

They were presented with their award at a black-tie event in Warwickshire.

Mr Hanbury said: "We are delighted to have come away with two awards. It is a fantastic testament and illustrates just how unique our service really is.

"I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Tenants History and highlight just how hard all the staff and management team have worked to achieve these awards."

Oliver Romain, editor of Landlord and Buy-to-Let magazine and lead judge for the Awards, said: "It’s a fantastic achievement for Tenants History to be highly commended in categories Website and Innovation and a real pleasure for us to be able to reward their success."
