Sapphire Timson was mascot at Manchester United's game against West Ham
Croydon Champions Child of Courage Sapphire Timson’s wish came true last week, when she was mascot for Manchester United.
The 12-year-old made a wish with The Starlight Wish Foundation in 2011 and it was finally granted at the team's home game against West Ham on Wednesday.
As well as leading out the team, Sapphire got to speak with match captain Ryan Giggs and defender Rio Ferdinand.
After the match Rio tweeted Sapphire saying: "Heard u r doing great charity work...keep it up + stay strong. Good to see u keeping warm with the blanket too!"
