Art, music, film and food were all on the menu at Croydon’s Matthews Yard on Thursday night.
Around 200 people attended the opening night of ‘Form From Form’ and the premier screening of ‘The Devil’s Work’.
‘Form From Form’ is on display in The Studio, the recently-opened space that has achieved funding through online contributions.
The exhibition is curated by Ben Bridges and Michael O'Reilly and features work from graduates from Wimbledon College of Art and students from the Royal Academy and the Royal College of Art.
‘The Devil’s Work’ is an exploration of the world of creative artists through the lens of a Blues-style documentary.
Alice Cretney, the venue’s events manager, said: “Thursday night is exactly what we have in mind for the future of Matthews Yard.
“We are proving that Croydon can really become a magnet for London’s most talented and inspirational young artists.”
