Organisations from around the borough are being urged to apply for funding from Croydon Commitment.
Croydon Commitment’s Grassroots Trust Fund which was launched in 2008, donates thousands of pounds in an attempt to bring about change in Croydon.
It provides financial assistance for schemes which improve the lives of Croydon people.
Croydon Commitment is a collaboration of local businesses, acting as a much-needed conduit between the business community, charities and voluntary groups.
This year’s funding will total approximately £24,000. Small charities and small social enterprises are being invited to apply for a grant of up to £6,000.
Ian Robinson, Chief Executive of Croydon Commitment, said: “Via our Grassroots Trust we are looking to support some of the smaller organisations in Croydon, which provide vital services within the community, the opportunity to reach their goals and aspirations.
Applications for funding close on February 28, 2013. A Croydon Commitment panel will assess all of the applications during the week beginning March 4, 2013.
