Public consultation is due to begin for Coulsdon’s town masterplan this month.
Areas identified for development and regeneration cover the provision of new homes at the Cane Hill site, potential for more retailers and businesses and public realm improvements.
Public consultation on the draft Coulsdon Masterplan is scheduled for February 25 to April 14.
Councillor Jason Perry, cabinet member for planning, regeneration and transport, said: “This vision for Coulsdon is realistic, deliverable and exciting.
“We want people to give us their views on the proposals to make Coulsdon a place that has a vibrant town centre for the local people, while enhancing its distinctive features and character, particularly where the Green Belt meets outer London.”
The cabinet is recommended to approve the draft masterplan for public consultation when it meets on Monday 11 February.
The masterplan is available from Croydon.gov.uk.
