UPDATE: Two arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after tram stop stabbing
Two youths have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenager was stabbed at Arena tram stop on Tuesday night.
The youths were arrested last night at an address in South Norwood.
The two men, aged 18 and 19, are both from South Norwood, and are currently in police custody. They are assisting officers with their investigation.
Detectives had issued a public appeal for information following the incident, which took place shortly before 7.45pm on the Elmers End-bound platform of the station.
The 17-year-old victim received stab wounds to his chest, after stepping in to calm an altercation between youths.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.
