Vue cinema in Croydon to screen Eugene Onegin live from the Royal Opera House
5:30pm Tuesday 12th February 2013 in News
Eugene Onegin is an opera about a man's regret of his rejection of love
Vue Purley Way is to screen a performance of Eugene Onegin live from the Royal Opera House.
The opera about a selfish hero who lives to regret his rejection of a love, will be broadcast via satellite from Covent Garden on February 20 at 7.15pm.
Dave Pearce, Film Programmer of Vue Entertainment, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing more alternate content screenings to our cinemas across the UK.
"Over the year we’ll be screening a number of live performances by the Royal Opera House, Metropolitan Opera House and National Theatre, giving culture vultures and newcomers the chance to see famous classical productions, such as Eugene Onegin, without having travel to London or New York."
