Free Wi-Fi for Overground Stations in Croydon

Commuters will be able to surf the internet whilst waiting for their train thanks to a new London Overground initiative.

Passengers will be able to connect to free Wi-Fi on London’s orbital rail network from February 15.

Norwood Junction, West Croydon and Crystal Palace are three stations which will benefit from the scheme.

Wi-Fi provider, The Cloud, will be installed at various stations. Commuters will be able to browse the internet, use social networks and get travel updates.

Vince Russell, managing director at The Cloud, said: “London Overground stations are a hive of activity for people travelling in and out of London.

“This is especially true of workers commuting into the city. For these people, the ability to check emails or perhaps access work documents on the go is vital.
