Croydon is 'divorce hotspot'
9:40am Thursday 21st February 2013 in News By Chris Baynes, Reporter
Croydon is a divorce hotspot
The borough is a divorce hotspot with one of the highest rates of marital splits in the UK, new figures have revealed.
Some 1,672 married couples called it a day in Croydon last year - a rate of nearly five divorces every day.
The statistics, released by the Ministry of Justice today, reveal Croydon County Court saw the eighth highest number of divorces between October 2011 and September last year.
Croydon saw a higher number than any other London court.
Courts in Birmingham saw the most divorces in the country, with 2,799.

Ever since Girlpower it changed in my experience. It all became parties and shirking work. I was raised to be a grafter, although I like the odd party as well. Just seems things have shifted too far the wrong way now. Society-wise.
Is our Society too mercenary and money-obsessed these days? I'm thinking yes.

Croydon makes people lose all hope, its finished, just a hole now
Why break apart? Unless it does indeed bubble down to a lack of vision mixed with a desire for material things?
The points I was making were as an 'undateable'. It's all about money-money-money for too many. There's plenty in Croydon, but you need to be less money-obsessed to see it that way.

In the past the Ill & Infirm were allowed to keep their Sickness Benefits if they partnered up. So an ill person could help with The Bills & be a stay at home parent for example. There was a use for us in a couple/ traditional home. These days that is no longer true. And we can be VERY expensive.
It only changed last year, but it makes us undateables even more undateable. As prejudice is now backed up by fact as of last year and these current Torys.
Yup, The Torys took our benefits away. They robbed the Ill & Infirm.

... that means everyone who has debts can't score a decent set of dates.
I've been badly injured for 12 years. And not once in those 12 years have I been able to get a date out of a Croydon lass. Literally not once. Excuses include: You're injured, you're unemployed, you've got no money.
I was told all of those 3 to my face.
Whoever is raising whatever around here is raising a bunch of workshy money-grabbing so-and-so's who just aren't focussed on anything but cold hard cash. And in a town with naff wages that attitude is doomed to failure.
