Theatre jukebox brings memories to life at Croydon Clocktower

Six locals have put their personal memories on display in a 'living jukebox'.

The installation - a blend of art and local history - will be on show at Croydon Clocktower throughout March.

Viewers can pick one of six options, each bringing to life the sounds and pictures of different person's past.

Councillor Tim Pollard, cabinet member for children, families and learning, said: “Local history always gives a fascinating insight into the lives of those around us, and this is an imaginative approach to exploring the connections between people and places.”

The installation follows the success of similar projects in Bristol and Stratford-upon-Avon.
