Mayor of Croydon to help volunteers on Red Nose Day

The Mayor of Croydon will be taking to the phones for charity on Red Nose Day.
Councillor Eddy Arram will be at the council’s call centre on March 15.
More than 100 volunteers will be raising money for Comic Relief and Cllr Arram will be lending his support.
Staff will taking calls for more than five hours with the aim of raising £100,000.
Cllr Arram said: “It is fantastic council staff are taking part in Comic Relief again. It’s always a fun, enjoyable occasion and all for a good cause.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the fundraising operation in full flow, as no doubt the phones will be ringing off the hook with donations pouring in.”
