The latest stage of the £3.84 million redevelopment of Wandle Park has been completed.
An 11-tonne ornamental bridge over the River Wandle was constructed in a workshop in Huddersfield, before being transported to Croydon.
The installation means the project - which is funded by Croydon Council, the Mayor of London and the Heritage Lottery Fund - is a step closer to completion.
Other improvements include a public bandstand, a new ball-games court and a skate park.
Councillor Phil Thomas, cabinet member for highways and environmental services, said: "Wandle Park is rapidly coming back to life.
"It will soon be a fantastic destination for people who want to enjoy its great new facilities - or simply unwind with a walk along the riverbanks."
