Tributes have been paid to a popular musician who was lost to cancer last year.
Kevin Walsh, a singer and songwriter, passed away last year and helped support homeless charity The Passage by holding an annual fundraising evening at St Joseph’s Church Hall in Colliers Wood.
Organised by Colliers Wood residents association chairman Keith Spears, a memorial evening was held at the church hall for Mr Walsh on Saturday, March 2.
His brother, John Walsh, sang some of Kevin’s songs, while his sister Margeret read some of his poetry.
Mr Walsh said: "It was wonderful for Kevin's family and friends to spend the evening celebrating his life in music, poetry and song.”
The money raised was £350 and will go towards The Passage, Water Aid and Trinity Hospice in Tooting.
