A storyteller is set to explore the dilemma facing a king who stakes his castle, wife and kingdom against a boatload of trinkets.
Martin Hunka will speak at the Three Heads in a Well storytelling club for adults at St Michael's Church in Ewell on Friday.
Mr Hunka said: "I relish stories that are wild, wondrous, and alive with quirky folk, weird possibilities and real passions.
"But the most marvellous wonder of all is that we have the southeast’s premier storytelling venue here in Ewell."
Organiser Janet Dowling said: "We are in the fifth year of our club.
"Adults sometimes come along feeling a bit wary-feeling that oral storytelling is just for children. But they soon become entranced."
