A man has been charged with murdering wealthy American socialite Robert Troyan.
David Jeffs, 36, from Larch Close, Arnold, Nottingham, was last night charged with murder and will appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court this morning.
Mr Jeffs walked into Sutton police station on Monday, March 18, and was arrested.
Mr Troyan, 63, who died from head injuries, was found at his £20m Mayfair home by his cleaner on March 8.
He lived alone at his £800-per-week one-bedroom flat in Mount Street following the death of his partner, the interior designer and socialite Anthony Feldman, whose clients included Princess Michael of Kent.
Mr Troyan and Mr Feldman were well-known for their "Mayfair dinners" and champagne lifestyle.
