The grand opening of the UK’s first renewable energy store was heralded by the arrival of a 1980s time travelling car.
A replica of the 1981 DeLorean DMC-12, seen in the popular Back to the Future films, was on show outside Green Square in Kingston Road, Raynes Park on Tuesday.
Students from Raynes Park High were invited to the opening while the winner of the shop's 'design house of the future' - 12-year-old Stella Postigo from the Ark Academy in Putney - was presented with her prize of an iPad and £250.
Green Square is the first of its kind in the UK offering customers advice on renewable energy and how to generate income from their energy use.
