Firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Tolworth this morning - only to find the homeowner had dealt with it themselves.
A crew from Surbiton was called to Thornhill Road at 7.43am to reports of a small house fire.
But when they arrived, it was already out.
A firefighter said: "The homeowner had put it out himself.
"It was really very small."
