Princess Alice Hospice is appealing for talented and successful professionals to volunteer for its board of trustees.
The Esher hospice cares for tens of thousands of people in Surrey and south-west London and its trustees carry substantial responsibilities.
The hospice is on the lookout for people with expertise in finance, investment, organisation development, fundraising and communication.
Chief executive Nicki Shaw said: “The new members will be joining our hospice at an exciting and challenging time as we implement our new strategy and develop our services to ensure we are in the best possible position to respond to the changing needs of our community.”
Jane Hargrave, who has been volunteering for about five years, following the death of her sister, said: “Initially helping and supporting the Hospice was a healing process for me and it has been a great experience that has seen me make friends, develop new skills and make a difference.”
