A woman who was hit by car in Selhurst last Tuesday has died in hospital.

Emergency services including the Air Ambulance, were called to Whitehorse Lane at the junction with Whitehorse Road at 2.33pm, to reports of a road traffic collision.

The 29-year-old woman sustained serious injuries to her pelvis and leg, and was taken to the major trauma centre at King's College Hospital where she died on Friday morning.

A post-mortem examination is being carried out at St George's Hospital.

Floral tributes have been left at the scene, paying tribute to a mum called Charmaine.

A card believed to be from her partner read: "Thank you for giving me 10 perfect years, I would have loved another 40 Bubba but someone has taken you away from us.

"I love you so much hunni and I always will. Miss you Char. Mark."

A police spokesman said officers await formal identification and confirmed the driver of the car has not been arrested at this time.

Anyone who witnessed the incident should call police on 020 8285 1574.
