A man tried to stop two garage robbers from making a getaway by blocking their escape with his car.

The man saw two men stealing from a row of garages in Raleigh Court, Stanley Park Road, Wallington on Monday, March 25, just after 2pm.

He used his car to block the street entrance to the garages.

The men drove into the front passenger side of the car and reverse rammed into it twice.

As the man got out of his car, the transit van hit it for a fourth time enabling the men to make their getaway.

The van driver is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s and of slim build.

He is clean shaven, has short dark brown hair and a ‘long face’. He was wearing all black clothing.

His passenger is described as of middle-eastern appearance, about 25 years old, 5ft 9in and of slim build. He has short black hair with a fringe and a stubbly, unshaven face.

Their van is described as having writing on the side and rear doors either in yellow or a light orange.

The vehicle is missing a grey wheel arch and will have damage to the front driver’s side and possible damage to the passenger’s side.
