Talent scouts will be out and about in city centre tomorrow on the lookout for Bradford’s most photogenic faces.

If you have got what it takes to strut your stuff on the catwalk in front of a camera then you might catch their eye!

The scouts are getting set for this year’s Bradford Modelsearch competition, and are scouring the city for people with potential.

Now in its 12th year, the contest is being run in conjunction with the Kirkgate Centre, the Telegraph & Argus and DK Model Agency.

The scouts will be out from 11am to 4pm but if you miss that chance you can still nominate yourself by sending in a photograph and an entry form by Monday, April 22. You can pick up one either from the T&A Office in Hall Ings or the Kirkgate Centre.

The successful entrants will then be written to and invited onto the catwalk for heats in the Kirkgate Centre on Sunday, May 5. From those contestants, the most promising finalists will be asked to return on Sunday, May 19 for the finals.

The expert panel of judges will feature representatives from DK Model Agency, Modelsearch, previous winners and retailers from the Kirkgate Centre, who will be choosing eight winners.

The finalists will also be put to the public vote in the T&A Readers’ Choice category and photographs will be published in a supplement in the T&A on Friday, May 10.

Shopping vouchers worth £500 will be divided between a male and female winner from each of the four age categories.

And DK Models will potentially choose one male and one female from all the finalists to go on their books.

The free competition is divided into four age categories – 4 to 6, 7 to 10, 11 to 15 and 16 plus, with no upper age or size limit.

“We are always keen to be involved and see the potential new faces from the Bradford competition,” said Katie Holdsworth of DK Model Agency.

She added: “All competitors should come with the right mindset, the right attitude and be realistic about their potential. It could just be your turn this year – so get enrolling and see what happens.”

Previous competition winners have gone on to take part in many campaigns and modelling assignments such as DFS, CSL television advertisements, Argos catalogues, Vidal Sassoon, Regatta, modelling for Smiffy’s Fancy Dress, Joe Bloggs and Sports Direct.
