A man in his 40s was taken to hospital following a suspected carbon monoxide leak this morning.

Firefighters from Kingston’s green watch were called by Kingston police at about 1.30am but found no trace of the gas, crew manager Kevin Felthan said.

London Ambulance had sent an ambulance crew along with its hazardous area response team to Gloucester Road just before midnight, a spokeswoman said.

The man was taken to Kingston Hospital, but not as a priority, she added.
